Position Objectives


Position: BARJ Program Manager

Full-time 40 hours with benefits


This position manages and further develops our Balanced and Restorative Justice program at the Franklin Grand Isle Restorative Justice Center. Qualified candidate will grow and expand service delivery options, increase network of community partners and collaborate with stakeholders in an effort to broaden accessibility to needed services for youth in our community. This position will hold a case load of youth participants and may oversee a case manager, volunteers and interns.   



  • Program Leadership:  Provide program leadership, development and evaluation for the RJC Youth Services Department 
  • Create positive community relationships with our community partners related to youth issues in our community, as well as local law enforcement and local school districts. 
  •  Manage and provide direct service, including case management, and skills programming 
  • Engage in community activities and prosocial ventures alongside those we serve to increase and engage in healthy interests in an effort to develop positive outcomes. 
  •  Facilitate Restorative Processes and Develop/Facilitate Restorative Practices Training
  • Create individualized interventions for youth served within the agency while developing new initiatives or offerings. 
  •  Oversee that statutes are followed and all grant requirements are being completed to a high standard of excellence and follow through.
  • Provide timely and thorough program evaluation, oversight and quarterly reporting to statewide funders.
  • Attend weekly meetings with Department of Children and Families (DCF) and other required stakeholder meetings. 
  •   Other duties as needed and assigned by Executive Director (ED) 



  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field experience.  
  • Preferred: case management, program development and supervision experience.
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system; experience with restorative justice programming, high standards of confidentiality. 
  • Knowledge of the court system, mental health, substance use, trauma, direct family services, assessment tools desired.
  • Ability to manage and grow programs and meet grant requirements, reports and deadlines. 
  • A vision for youth programming is a must as well as a commitment to youth services and resources. 
  • Ability to lead well and listen. Be a positive contributing member of a team. 
  • Liaison for stakeholder relationships related to youth issues and needs.
  • Ability to display a high level of professionalism at all times
  • Ability to create and maintain appropriate boundaries.
  • Demonstrated high level of organization and self- motivation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
