Position Summary
The Franklin Grand Isle Restorative Justice Center is seeking a motivated Coordinator of Victim Services. FGIRJC’s ideal candidate is deeply committedto restorative justice principles, communicates effectively, and can manage cases from referral through resolution. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that individuals impacted by crime are offered the space to be heard and the option to participate in the restorative process, which is designed to address harm and make amends. Looking for the right individual that will provide agency wide leadership, along with the demonstrated carryout of restorative justice principles and values, while adhering to protocol and best practices. This position requires a flexible schedule as well as some agency wide administrative duties, including but not limited to answering incoming calls, volunteer recruitment, social media management, and overall office organization.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinator of Victim Services Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for individuals who have been affected by crime, providing trauma-informed, respectful, and compassionate support throughout their involvement with the agency.
- Ensure affected parties are informed of available restorative justice processes and options and have meaningful opportunities to participate, express their perspectives, and make informed choices throughout the process.
- Advocate for the needs, rights, and interests of affected parties while maintaining a balanced restorative justice approach that promotes accountability, healing, and community safety.
- Provide agency-wide leadership with continued service improvement and professional development.
- Collaborate with case managers, community partners, volunteers, stakeholders and others as needed.
- Conduct initial outreach to affected parties with the goal of communicating the restorative justice processes, being an active listener, assessing needs, answering questions, and facilitate informed participation when appropriate.
- Maintain and regularly update a comprehensive directory of local, regional, and statewide victim service resources to ensure any additional support needs can be offered.
- Maintain accurate and confidential electronic case records, databases, and supporting documentation in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Collect, analyze, and report program data, outcomes, and trends to support grant reporting, program evaluation, continuous quality improvement, and strategic planning.
- Prepare and submit all required reports, correspondence, documentation, and statistical information accurately and within established deadlines.
- Monitor affected party engagement trends and identify opportunities to improve agency practices, enhance affected party participation, and strengthen community partnerships.
- Represent FGIRJC at statewide meetings, professional trainings and community events as requested.

- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information, case details, and sensitive agency matters.
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, cultural humility, and restorative justice values in all interactions with clients, volunteers, community partners, and the public.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Executive Director or direct supervisor.
Front Desk & Administrative Assistant Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for all visitors, clients, volunteers, and community partners by providing a welcoming, professional, and courteous reception.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls, emails, and general inquiries in a timely and professional manner while providing accurate information about agency programs and services.
- Schedule appointments, maintain agency calendars, coordinate meeting spaces, and assist with scheduling staff, volunteer, and client meetings.
- Process program fees, payments, donations, and receipts accurately while assisting the office manager with maintaining financial records in accordance with agency procedures.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems to ensure accurate recordkeeping and easy retrieval of agency documents.
- Manage office supply inventory by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and coordinating with vendors as needed.
- Assist with data entry, correspondence, mail distribution, document preparation, copying, scanning, and other administrative support functions.
- Support agency communication efforts by assisting with social media content, website updates, newsletters, and other public outreach materials.
- Assist with volunteer recruitment efforts, including responding to inquiries, coordinating orientations, maintaining volunteer records, and supporting volunteer engagement activities.
- Help Office Manager coordinate agency events, trainings, meetings, and community outreach activities by assisting with logistics, registration, and preparation of materials.
- Ensure the reception and common office areas remain organized, welcoming, and professional.
- Demonstrate professionalism, excellent customer service, and effective communication in all interactions with clients, staff, volunteers, community partners, and the public.
- Provide administrative support to agency staff and leadership as needed to ensure efficient daily operations.
- Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned by the Executive Director and/or supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in human services, case management, criminal justice, social services, restorative practices and/or related fields.
· Ability to prioritize.
· Familiarity with the criminal justice system, and court processes.
· Strong active listening skills.
· Strong skills in mediation, facilitation, and conflict resolution during high emotional circumstances at times.
· Excellent communication, organization, time management and record-keeping abilities.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and work effectively with a wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
· Ability to work independently as well as the ability to effectively contribute to a collaborative team environment.
· Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
· Must successfully pass a background check.
