Register for the City of Saint Albans Emergency Notification System

In an event of an emergency, the City of Saint Albans issues alerts through CodeRED, a high-speed notification solution. The CodeRED system allows messages to be quickly delivered to targeted areas, including those areas outside of the City that are connected to our water and sewer infrastructure, or the City as a whole.  Through CodeRED we can issue alerts via phone, text messages, email, and through social media.

The CodeRED system comes pre-populated with public information, but you should not assume we have your information.

On Monday, December 21st the City will be conducting a performance test of the system at 5:00 p.m., contacting everyone who is currently in the emergency database. Receiving a test message will assure that residents and water/sewer customers will receive a message when an actual alert is issued by the City. Residents and customers who have not enrolled to receive emergency CodeRED notifications, or did not receive a test message should immediately visit the City website and click the CodeRED logo to enroll.

Those without Internet access may call Kristen Smith at 802-524-1500 x253 to supply their information over the phone. Required information includes first and last name, street address (physical address, no P.O. boxes), city, state, zip code, and primary phone number, additional phone numbers, including cell phones, can be entered as well.

CodeRED gives those who want to be included an easy and secure method for inputting information. The data collected will only be used for emergency notification purposes.

Any questions should be directed to Thomas Leitz, at 802-524-1500 x256.
