Trees – Cleaning the Air, Cooling the Street and Conserving Energy
The City of St. Albans has over 1,700 trees on public land or right of ways. We have room for 1,200 more. The care and maintenance of the existing canopy is an ongoing undertaking. One that requires constant inspection and the early detection of disease or damage. New plantings are often directed along streets that are being repaired but we are always open to suggestions for other planting sites. Your eyes are an important tool in assisting the city with tree care. If you see a damaged or diseased tree or if you recognize a location for a new planting – let us know. Healthy Trees Make a Difference. You can help – stop by or give us a call (802) 524-1500 ext. 262. City of St. Albans.
