Notice of Public Hearing: Monday, 1/10

The St. Albans City Council will hold a public hearing at 6:30 pm on Monday, January 10, 2022 in City Hall, 100 North Main Street, to consider approval of a Charter amendment on Town Meeting Day.  The proposed amendment would allow the City Council to appoint the Clerk and Treasurer positions regardless of residency.  The positions would continue to fill the same statutory requirements as outlined in Vermont State Law.  This provision would take effect on July 1, 2022 if approved by the voters on Town Meeting Day and by the Vermont Legislature.
