Employment Opportunity - Meter Technician & Installer

The City of St. Albans seeks to hire an individual to assist our Public Works department with updating its system to read water meters.   The work involves installing a device on customer water meters that allows for the City to read the meters remotely.  This work involves basic wiring but does not involve any plumbing.

We require an individual that has their own transportation, is punctual and courteous with the public.

The City will train the individual to install the devices and ensure they are connected to our information system.

This is a 15-hour a week position and the City will pay $17/hour or more, depending on the qualifications of the applicant.
