Taylor Park Master Plan Committee

A committee of stakeholders, City staff, and consultants are working over the course of 2017 to develop a Master Plan for Taylor Park.

The charge that the City Council gave to this project was to:

1.  Maintain an inclusive process that welcomes and integrates a broad range of public input.

2.  Engage in a forward-looking project that formulates ambitious and shared short-and long-term visions for the Park.

3.  Balance the following goals in your visioning and planning:

increase Taylor Park’s capacity to accommodate events and other activities that contribute to the economic vitality of the City.

maintain the park’s ability to host, and perhaps expand, current activities and uses, and

improve the park’s built infrastructure and natural environment.

4.  Provide the City with well thought-out plans that will guide coordinated improvements to the Park, both large and small in scale.

The City is currently taking input on the latest draft of the plan at www.stalbansvt.com/TaylorParkPlan.

This project is funded in part by a Municipal Planning Grant from the VT Agency of Commerce and Community Development.
